Similarly to the owner of SC Pipelines, Martin Crossley the owner of Hollingworth Fire Systems, had also built a previous, successful business that he sold and was now starting again in the same field.
I didn’t know Martin before but we “met” through a local Facebook Group when someone recommended me after he posted a request for help in creating a website for his new business.
The website has more of a traditional, corporate feel to meet the expectation of its core client base. It does, however, have a fresher more modern look too with the short looped video clip which plays behind a “masked overlay” in the first (Hero) section on the Home Page.
The navigation header section is “fixed” so that it remains at the top of the screen as the visitor scrolls down the page but it contracts slightly after an initial scroll. More so on laptop view than mobile.
There are actually two versions of the header section on this site – black text on a white background on the home page and then the colouring reversed on all the other pages.
Purely for aesthetic reasons. 🙂
Towards the bottom of every page is a “carousel” section displaying logos of the suppliers that the business deals with. It’s quite a common feature on websites these days but one that I think looks good and works well.
The business was dissolved in early 2026, when Martin moved to another part of the UK and joined a large fire security company near his new home. However, you can still find the development version of the site here.
