In June 2019, about 8 months after I moved to Todmorden (or “Tod” as it’s often more affectionately referred to by locals and others in the know), I joined the committee of the local business support and networking group Todconnect.

Although they’d been running for about 18 months at the time, they still didn’t have a website so I decided to create one.

On the Home Page is an introduction to why the group was founded and how it provides an opportunity for local businesses (of ALL sectors, shapes & sizes) to come together, get to know each other, and form stronger relationships which will hopefully develop to benefit not only themselves but the town as a whole.

On the front page there are also brief introductions and links to other subjects and pages within the site – plus an Email Optin and general Contact Form.

One of its most important functions is in being the central ‘hub’ for all things around the new (in Sept 2019) ‘There’s MORe in TodMORden‘ initiative.

There is a specific page on the site where business owners can not only go to find out MORe about the campaign, but also to download a variety of resources to promote it including video files, branding guidelines and a logo graphics pack.

It also has an Upcoming Events page which gives details of Todconnect’s monthly meetups. However,  it is envisaged that this may well be expanded upon in time, to include a Calendar for a much wider range of events within the town and its surrounding areas.
