How The Website Previously Looked
In the Spring of 2020, I carried out the third major update to this website since I started working with XS Training back at the very beginning of 2015. The business, as well as website design and user expectations, had changed a great deal in five years!
XS Training Ltd is a company that provide online electrical training courses for electricians who want to increase their qualifications. They are now firmly established as one of the top training providers in their field in the UK.
By being predominantly online* rather than an “onsite”‘ training centre, it means that candidates can work through the training in their own time and control the pace of their learning too. The business also has a huge USP in being able to offer Remote Video Assessments via a mobile phone.
* In early 2021 they established their own onsite Training & Test Centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, to cater for students that learn better in a more controlled and structured environment.
The Electrical Course pages are a good demonstration of a three-level Pricing Table where the candidate has a choice of a Bronze, Silver or Gold service for each course. By offering three choices it has been proven that many people will in fact take the middle option and so this offers an excellent opportunity for businesses to increase their customers average spend.
Social Media plays an important role in how the company interacts and engages with its candidates and potential candidates, so we have made it really easy for their visitors to Follow them and Share the site across the internet.
I have now created SIX websites for XS Training and they all now display a consistent styling and ‘branding’ across the board, albeit with colour and other slight variations to provide differentiation.
